The divine in me acknowledges the divine in you

Here is my story…

There have been many personal and professional triumphs throughout my life. I will share my experience from 30 years ago which changed the course of my existence.

The precursor; My relationship/marriage of 17 years was faltering and my health was deteriorating. The constant battle of emotional suffering and prolonged sicknesses including pre-cancer was extremely debilitating.

At the time, currently residing in Ohio, I traveled to the renowned La Costa Health Spa in San Diego. A trip earned through rewards of a self-employment cosmetic company. A reflexologist highly recommended for me to see a Chiropractor for my shoulder from a past shoulder injury. In Ohio, I was referred to a Dr David Polen, D.C., N.M.D. by several friends, so I made a chiropractic appointment. This single appointment changed the course of my life.

I booked a chiropractic appointment expecting to be adjusted and to my surprise, my visit started with EDS (Electro Dermal Screening) which was a new experience for me. I was screened on my meridian points to see which nutritional supplements would balance out my body. Two visits and $1,200. later, I started feeling alive again. I lost 20 pounds in two months and did everything I was instructed to do. This was a two year journey of healing my mind/body and eventually after divorcing my husband, I fell in love with Dr. David Polen.

An entire book can be written of the next five years of my life. The impact and the impression left upon me still remains.

David would not go to church with me. After much discussion, I went to spirituality classes and he sent me to see the Dalai Lama. The classes taught me how to meditate and I learned through the Dalai Lama a walk with God is what is important. If an organized religion is needed to have a walk with God, then by all means, join an organized religion but an organized religion is not a requirement to have a walk with God. I felt relief and a heavy burden was lifted from my shoulders.

After a couple of months with David, I had a dream where he was laying on a twin sized bed, I was feeding him with a spoon and he wanted me to give him permission to leave. I was struggling with this but I finally gave in, put the spoon down, grabbed his head, told him I loved him, kissed his mouth and he left, passed away. I woke up startled, could not figure out what this was about and shrugged it off. I was starting my new adventure with David.

The modalities exposed to me were many and I will only mention a few. EDS, frequency generators, aroma therapy, tuning forks, light therapy, chakra balancing and an entire library of healing health books to read.

My experience in management, training and self employment gave me the opportunity to build his business from $350,000. to $1,200,000. in a year expanding to a 6,000 sq ft office with 11 employees. Anything he wanted, I did my best to give it to him. We opened a Day Spa with eight employees and started my own skincare line from Romania. I knew a publisher and started an Alternative Health Care newspaper with bi-monthly production. David started teaching at a Naturopath college and I became a college recruiter for new students. David’s son opened a nutritional supplement company and distributed David’s patented EDS computer software system and nutritional supplement formulations. There were 1,200 supplements either manufactured or distributed. I had 5 positions, was CEO of the day spa and was thrilled.

We never left each others side, having breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We worked together during the day and talked into the wee hours of the night about life and healing the body. I was picking his genius brain in an attempt to learn what he knew. We moved into a replica of a turn of the century French Manor totaling 5,200 sq ft with 16 foot ceilings. We married in this house. His patients traveled across the country to be healed in our home.

Five years later, I was feeding David with a spoon and my meditation momentarily entered my head but he was in a recliner, not in a twin size bed, so I blew it off. Within 12 hours, he was in the emergency room not able to breathe. After an hour, I knew I needed to see him. I went to the gurney, grabbed his head, we looked into each others eyes, I told him I loved him but I could not kiss his mouth. There were tubes down his throat so I kissed his right cheek. Before my lips left his cheek, he flat lined. I didn’t know it at the time but I gave him permission to leave. My meditation, did in fact, came true. The universe gave me a signal of what was going to transpire 5 years later.

This man, Dr. David E. Polen, D.C., N.M.D., changed my life. I have not had a medication, a shot, a vaccine or an aspirin for 30 years. I believe,  if the universe had not guided me to the Chiropractic appointment 30 years ago, I would not be alive today. If I feel something coming on, I will reach for an herb, meditate and change my thinking. For 13 years after his passing, I taught EDS to healthcare practitioners across the US and Canada and was their field support for their businesses.

If an opportunity arises and you see a way to better your life, take it. We only have one shot at this thing called life and it is gone in a blink of an eye. Life is too short not to be happy. Namaste. “The divine in me acknowledges the divine in you.”
